The world seems to be going crazy for the flavour of pistachio cream at the moment so we thought we would see how it paired with our dark and creamy milk stout.

Well, we were very surprised it adds a rich nuttiness and enhances the velvet smoothness without taking away the core flavours of Skidaddler – which after all is a multi-award-winning milk stout in its own right.

The base beer is exactly the same as we brew Skidaddler and then simply add the pistachio cream flavouring into the cask to infuse during secondary fermentation in the cask.

We had to play around with the quantity used a bit to make sure that the balance was just right and now that we are happy with that you can get to try it in cask.
