THE GLANCE ASIDE
Its back – our USA hopped pale ale – first brewed in 2025 to highlight that Maris Otter – Norfolk’s great malting barley – is exported across the Pond to brewers all over America. Of course we then wanted to use just USA hops in return.
We have used predominantly Maris Otter pale and Extra pale but paired it with a sprinkling of oats and chit commonly found in American pale ales.
The hops used are both American – Idaho 7 and El Dorado – which when combined offer hints of pineapple, melon, orange, and mango. Full on and robust with a good bittering level but also nicely balanced between hop and malt flavours.
A baby cousin of Cheeky Jack in many – but a beer with its own distinct we hope that you will tuck in and enjoy.
