We are thrilled to have been invited to be part of a delegation celebrating the Maris Otter 50th harvest at the Houses of Parliament.
We will get to showcase Maris Otter’s quality when our Moon Gazer amber ale will be served in the Strangers’ Bar, sited inside the House of Commons and will be highlighting the malting barley’s importance to brewers, growers and maltsters.
We will make the trip with Mark from H Banham Ltd who is the guardian of the Maris Otter variety, and local maltster Crisp Maltings, who proudly supply Maris Otter malt across the globe – such is its demand from the craft brewing market.
During the visit we also hope to raise a glass with members of the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group, and local MPs of Crisp Maltings – Keith Simpson – who kindly arranged the visit, and also Norman Lamb who is the constituency MP for The Norfolk Brewhouse.
We will update you on all of details after the visit which is planned to take place on Monday 7 December.
Cheers – let’s raise a glass to a proud Norfolk team and the mighty Maris Otter.
