CITY JACK One of two City of Ale specials celebrating the festival and also the beer twining of Leuven/ Flanders and Norwich/Norfolk and also showcasing Maris Otter barley as it celebrates its 60th anniversary.
City Jack is a 4.5% abv Belgian Blonde meets an English pale ale , sweet, smooth malt notes and minty, floral, earthy hop notes so characterized by this beer style a well rounded, classic.
We have used predominantly Maris Otter pale and Extra pale but paired it with some lager malt and a sprinkling of otas and of course Belgian Candi sugar.
The hops used are both American – Idaho 7 and El Dorado – which when combined offer hints of pineapple, melon, orange, and mango.
Again, as often used in Belgian we have added some orange peel just to accentuate the orange notes of the hops.
A cousin of Cheeky Jack – we hope that you will tuck in and enjoy City Jack.
