WOW, were just back from Sheffield and are celebrating winning double silver at the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) prestigious national brewing competition.

To say we are chuffed might just be an understatement.

We had reached the national final after both of our lagers won gold at the Eastern regional heats back in September where we were judged against lagers from 7 counties across the eastern region. So, then it was time to face the other regional gold winners from across the country.

We are delighted that we were judged to have brewed a couple of great craft lagers – with StubbleStag (5% abv) scooping silver the Premium Lager category and DewHopper (4% abv) lager completing the double by claiming its own silver in the Standard Lager and Pilsner category.

To get an award for both of the lager categories against such a strong line up was amazing and I must confess to a small tear of pride for our little team who all work so hard and with such passion for what we do.

But, no resting on our laurels, the gauntlet is down for next year to see if we can go one better.

Remember also that there is bit of Norfolk in every drop of our lager, not only because of our borehole water but also the Norfolk Maris Otter barley from Norfolk maltster Crisp Maltings.

So, do look out for our lagers and enjoy!
