The Red lion, Bishopgate, Norwich are hosting their first meet-the-brewer event on Friday 22 February from 7pm with The Norfolk Brewhouse and the brewery’s first ever meet-the-brewer evening.

Norfolk Brewhouse brewer David Holliday will be at the Red Lion to chat about all things beer and brewing. Pop along and find out what it’s really like to set up a new brewery – having to learn lots of new skills from engineering to plumbing; keeping on top of the paperwork and then running a 10 barrel brewery and brewing beer!

Red Lion landlady Amanda Rose said; “This is the first time we have held a meet-the-brewer event, so I hope people will come along and use the opportunity to find out more about the world of real ale, how it’s made, what goes into it and the everyday workings of a brewery.”

A couple of Norfolk Brewhouse beers will be available including Moon Gazer Golden Ale and a special brew with a sweet darker twist called Moon Gazer Dark Mild.

With hops and grain in hand David will be there to answer questions and chat about the world of beer. He said; “Thanks to the Red Lion for giving us the opportunity to come along and meet their customers and hear first-hand about what they want from their pub and ale,”

Great beer, great food and great company – what more do you need on a Friday night! The Norfolk Brewhouse brewer will be there from 7 to 9 pm.
