Taste guide: Soft but complex biscuit malt mouthfeel with a tropical and sweet fruit finish from the hops.

The latest in our series of monthly cask beer specials is an amber pale ale- yes, I did say amber as we felt we had leaned into the golden beers a bit too much of late, so time for something a little bit more on the amber side.

So, what will make this beer special?

The malt base builds in the soft complexity you so enjoyed in our recent Sit Tight blonde ale- but with the addition of more light crystal malt which creates a rich amber colour but also strong caramel aromas with delicate fresh fruit undertones.

As for the hop we are going single hop with one of our favourites Idaho 7 – which is perfectly capable of standing out on its own without the need of a supporting cast.

Idaho 7 contributes to creating a bold, aromatic pale ale with hop characteristics of tropical fruits, stone fruits and sweet notes.

Available from w/c 13 April – pubs can pre order now.
