GOOD TIME JACK  4.5% Belgique IPA – Belgian Blonde meets UK IPA for a great summer drink

Well, we couldn’t resist bringing Good Time Jack back in cask – it has now sold out in can ( but it will be back) and last time there was a handful of cask which flew out.  So it made sense to do a small batch brew purely for cask and key keg so it can be enjoyed in pubs this summer.

This Belgique IPA is so called since  since it marries a typical Belgian Blonde ale with a  more hoppy IPA style – Belgian yeas provides that soft, slightly sweet  profile with a hint of bananas on the nose.   The hops used are El Dorado and Idaho 7 – so plenty of notes of mango, pineapple, peach and melon.

The fusion also sees candi sugar and lager ,alt typical of Belgian beers blended with good old English Maris Otter.

It’s a little bit stronger than we normally brew but only by a little bit –  but we didn’t want to compromise on the balance.

If you got to try it back in spring then look out for it again, if you didn’t catch it last time then make sure that you grab a pint this time.
