Our first Christmas season and boy do we now know what they mean by the Christmas rush!

The brew crew, and their gazebo, have been on the road visiting a series of farmers’ markets, tastings at Walsingham, a Frost Fayre at Aylsham and a fabulous Christmas market at Burnham Deepdale – not forgetting a very windswept Weybourne, where Rachel doggedly sampled beer in 60mph gusts of wind.

Cold? Yes. Tiring? You bet. Worth it? Most definitely! It is so nice to get out and meet people, talk about our beer, our plans for the future and, most importantly, get feedback on the brews.

It may sound clichéd but the events really do have a great community spirit, local people seeking out local produce, and visitors seeking out gifts from the county they so love.

It also allowed Rachel to coin a new phrase, which seemed to catch on – “You don’t get that at Tesco”. The phrase was used every time someone commented on how nice it was to meet and talk with producers, or how stallholders went that little bit further to offer customer service.

Thanks to all of you who visited us, thanks for your feedback, and a big thanks to all of the fellow stallholders who we had the pleasure of working with. Happy Christmas to you all and please do keep supporting your local producers throughout the year.

There’s still time to see us at one more Christmas market – Pensthorpe Christmas Market Sunday 9 December 10am to 2pm: www.pensthorpe.com
