On Sunday 19 August we attended the Mannington Hall Local Produce Day.

The Wolterton & Mannington Estate is home to Lord and Lady Walpole who were our superb hosts for the day. As well as our ale, there were chutneys, pies, cheeses, cordials and bread to sample and enjoy.

Rachel managed to dodge what seemed like a certain direct hit from a very isolated and very close thunderstorm, but the majority of the day was sunny.

It really is a stunning setting, with countryside walks and trails, gardens, rose and plant sales and the Greedy Goose Tearooms – cakes like you wouldn’t believe!

This was their first local food day, and hopefully not the last.
