Things are now really beginning to take shape.

In a way it is a shame. The internal look and feel of the barn is to be transformed into a modern, hygienic brewery. The old bricks and beams will soon be covered up with food grade coverings.

Admittedly, shiny white walls are not quite as pleasing on the eye as 200 year old bricks. However, as I was reminded just the other day – “brewing is 75% cleaning”.

That’s why for Rachel and myself, beer quality and consistency is key to The Norfolk Brewhouse’s success. So, it’s bye-bye to the inside of the old barn.

Away from the building things are getting busy with licenses, bottles, recipes all needing sorting.
